Description:Steel Pulse is a Birmingham-based reggae band. The band was formed in around 1975 whilst its members were still at school when they would meet on a Sunday to play cover versions of their favourite songs in an attic. In 1978 the band released their first album, Handsworth Revolution amidst the Punk revolution that was taking place in Britain's cultural landscape. Reflecting their diverse appeal, Steel Pulse toured with punk bands such as Generation X and The Slits and also Bob Marley, for whom they played as his support band during one of his UK and European tours.
