Description:This advertisement for <a href="http://www.search.suburbanbirmingham.org.uk/engine/resource/default.asp?resource=1926">TASCOS</a> Choral Society appeared in the handbook for Stirchley Spring Bazaar, 1911. The Choral Society fulfilled social and campaigning roles for the local co-operative movement. For instance, in 1906 it performed at exhibitions in Birmingham that highlighted the ill effects of the ‘sweated industries’ on mainly female workers.
