Description:Evidence of children’s creativity in the past is difficult to find. Drawings, paintings and stories produced by children rarely enter the archive or the museum. Many such items were stored by parents and families in cupboards, attics and boxes, often alongside family albums. Over time these personal collections of childhood were often lost as families moved or individuals died. It is therefore difficult to document this feature of childhood. However, there are exceptions and these creative remains of the past really are childhood treasures.
