Description:Edward Arthur Donald St George Hamilton Chichester (1903-1975) was Sixth Marquess of Donegall. It was not unusual for boys to wear dresses until the age of 4 or 5 when they were ‘breeched’ or put into adult clothes. It was a practice that in parts of England continued into the 1930s. Chichester was a journalist and a distinguished war correspondent.
