Description:Hallett (b. 1942) is a South African photographer. Whilst living in exile in Britain in 1971 he was commissioned by the Times Educational Supplement to take a series of photographs in Handsworth. Many of these show children at home or out on the street. The girl here is surrounded by items of significance to the family.
