Description:Play was central to the child’s kindergarten experience. The sandpit, the wooden horse, and the different creative activities on each table all encouraged play. Froebel believed that play was educational as it stimulated the child’s imagination and helped them develop self-control and self-dependence. The teacher’s role was to create an environment in which children could enjoy freedom but also develop consideration for others.
