Description:This photograph shows that all of the girls are dressed uniformly and the age range of the girls in the orphanage. It also shows school desks and some teaching equipment. The space is large but is heated by a single stove. The artificial lighting would have been gas which at this time would have given a yellow glow in the room when on.
