Description:The Midland Illustrated News (1869).

After the Severn Street Synagogue would come the famous Singer's Hill Synagogue, opened in 1856. The architect Yeoville Thomson was commissioned for the design. This engraved image of its ornate interior appeared in the Illustrated Midland News Saturday, September 11, 1869. No2. vol 1.
