Description:Photograph of Singer's Hill Today (taken by Brigitte Windsor)

This contemporary image of Singer’s Hill shows how little it has changed since the nineteenth century. The synagogue, built in 1856, has just recently celebrated its one hundred and fiftieth birthday. It is not only a living symbol of the Jewish faith, but also an important emblem of the diverse history of faith and worship in Birmingham.
