Description:This is one of the very first entries contained in the archive of the Birmingham Hebrew Congrebation (reference: Birmingham City Archives, JA) dated 1826. It displays a list of members, who have decided to enlarge a building belonging to the community. Some of these names have been recognised as significant contributors to Birmingham's trades. Zoe Josephs' text, 'Birmingham Jewry 1749 to 1914' mentions how Myer Myers (the last name on the left hand list), 'was able to use his ingenuity and he took out a patent for an improved pen and pen-holder'
