“I think one of the big things probably in the last 10 years is the growth of interest groups more locally…now in Birmingham you’ve got groups, music groups, groups of sports of various sorts, groups for line dancing, youth groups, all sorts of different groups which complement the normal range of pubs and clubs of the scene…the fact is that Pride has become an important part of our agenda now in Birmingham and one of the most… the best party weekends in the city, I think.”
