Description:J.A. Carr was the final rector at the original St George’s Church, his successor was G.H. Brown who led the congregation during his time in a temporary place of worship, due to the fact that the old church had been closed and the new one had not even been planned. His time there did eventually lead to the new building being opened and a year later there was a new rector. The last rector at the new church was R. R. Johnston (1997 – 2007), who has retired and currently there is not anyone to take his place (2008).
