Date:Not Recorded

Description:The children's home known informally as the Bungalow opened in 2004 on the site of part of the former playing fields of Erdington Cottage Homes. It is a purpose-built, single storey unit with beds for five children who have learning disabilities.

The Bungalow sits next to the modern housing built at the back of Homes 11 and 15 of Erdington Cottage Homes (Trelawn and Littledene).

The home was initially intended as a replacement for Reynoldstown Road and, as such, was to be called Reynoldstown House. However, Reynoldstown Road was still open at the time The Bungalow opened so the name was not used. Some of the children from Reynoldstown Road and some of the staff did go to The Bungalow when Reynoldstown Road closed, others went to the children's home in Aston.
