Description:The challenge of how to dispose of the dead and wounded knights in Episode III was met by the ordering of a ‘death cart’ – a huge camouflaged wagon drawn by a cart horse called Tommy. Not without incident however, during one of the performances the horse bolted and flung the driver to the ground, almost causing a fatal accident as Tommy ‘galloped and crashed’ into the arena’s entrance. 1,000 shields were made for this episode, which required 700 hours of stencil-cutting and would take four men over three months to complete. Performers from the Central district took part in this episode and a club was formed by participants, allowing them to socialise in the future – do you know anyone who was a member of the club?
