Description:A series of floats pass by representing the different groups and industries important in the life of Birmingham.

For example the motor car industry, gun production, the electrical trades and Button manufacture are represented. As are the British Red Cross, Birmingham Repertory Theatre, The Girl Guides’ Association and the Disabled Ex-servicemen's Association.

They make their way to their appointed positions to allow the entrance of all the performers from the pageant’s earlier episodes who form around a centre piece symbolising the place of Birmingham in modern society. The Hub of Industrial Britian
