Description:I have lived all my life in Handsworth and my family came to this country in 1963. At that time we lived together in the houses with Afro Caribbean people. I lived with mixed families up until 1974. We respected each other, lived together, and drank in the same pub. The reason for this was that the people of our age were different than the people now. They work hard, enjoyed in the family, drank and had no bad feelings against each other. There were not many religious places at that time. People loved each other and lived their simple life. In this picture taken in 1983, you can see my eldest son's wedding.
